The grapes used to produce this wine of unexpected personality come from our vineyards situated at the feet of mountain Corrasi.
It is a wine obtained from local red berried grapes vinified in white, straw yellow in colour with notes of white flowers. Good structure and length.

ORIGIN AND PROCESSING
Appellation: Isola dei Nuraghi IGT Bianco.
Varietal Composition: Red local grapes.
Vineyards: About 15 years old, spurred cordon system.
Soil: Decomposed granite soil.
Harvest: Manual harvest in crates.
Vinification: The grapes are gently placed in a soft press where they undergo a very light pressing. Only the first-run must is extracted up to 50% and left to settle at cool temperature, then it is tapped and sent to fermentation at 17/18 °C. The wine ages for 6 months with batonnage on fine lees.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Straw yellow colour.
Nose: Aromatic profile of good fragrance with notes of white flowers in evidence.
Taste: Structured white with great personality from red grapes of Sardinian tradition. Good freshness and pleasant lenght of flavours.
Alcoholic content: 13,5% Vol.
Serving temperature: Excellent if served at 10/12 °C.

The Cannonau grapes
Wine has written the history of our community since 1665 when the Jesuit priests started the cultivation of grapes and olives. It is estimated that in 18th century they had already planted 80.000 vines of Cannonau. Wine has been a distinctive badge of pride in Oliena since then and has become part of its culture to the point that here Cannonau is not a wine like others, here in Oliena it has its own name. In fact the Cannonau of Oliena is also known and appreciated by the name of Nepente
